5 Amazing Ways To Live Your Best Life
Omg where do I begin. The past few years of my life have been nothing less of amazing. I have been absolutely INTENTIONAL about living my best life. I was once in a place in my life where I was unhappy about certain things around me. That included my career, friends, money, health and my lifestyle, but one day that all changed. I realized that my life was in my hands and I had the power to change it. So here are 5 tips on how to live your best life.
1. Workout
I honestly believe working out is essential to a healthy mind body and spirit. Working out is not only good for your health but it's great for your spirit. Working out helps you achieve the body you desire as well as gives you the confidence you need to get out there and conquer the world. Look online for workout classes that fit your lifestyle. I have been on a mission to find the perfect workout class that works for me. It's led by an amazing woman called Coach Cass Fit @coachcassfit on Instagram. I found her on Instagram and I was determined to go to her class after watching her class online. She's in New York and does a 2 hour dance class with a live dj. They play all types of music like Afrobeats, soca, hip hop, dance, reggae and dancehall. We danced for 2 hours straight and I never felt so good. Listening to great music while dancing is one of the most therapeutic things you can do for your body. I definitely felt like I was living my best life while doing it. 2.Meditate
I honestly believe that if you don't take time out for yourself you can self destruct. Meditation is the perfect time to silence your mind and focus on yourself and your own mental health. Meditation is self love. Meditation is quiet from the storm. We live in a world where you get up , go to work, go back home, sleep and then repeat. For some people that's not enough. They want to take time out for themselves and figure out where their life is going. Meditation is one of the many tools that can do that. I started meditating over 12 years ago and it has helped me so much that I decided to become a meditation instructor and help other people. I have been able to help many people discover self love. I have helped many people decrease stress, worry, sadness and self doubt. 3. Develop a Skin and Hair Regimen
If you don't look good you won't feel good. If you don't take time out and pamper yourself with products that work for you then what will you do. I believe that regimens are a sign of self love. When you take out time to focus on your skin, just to make sure you don't get any pimples or blackheads, that says a lot. 4. Make new friends
Show me your top 5 friends and I will show you your life. If you have people around you that don't have the same mindset like you, get rid of them. Your friends say a lot about you. If you want to start that business and none of your friends support you that says a lot. If you have a new relationship and none of them are happy for you that says a lot. If your friends are always getting in trouble and are always plotting against someone that says a lot. You are who you hang out with. They say if you can't find your tribe, make one. Go out there and socialize. Look for events with people that have like minds. Find people who are where you want to be and hang around them. You can upgrade yourself to a better life you just have to be intentional about it. If you want better friends stop hanging with the poison and start hanging with people who are better for your mind body and soul.
5. Take a Trip.
Sometimes you just need to get away. Sometimes you just need a new scenery. You need to be around new people and new food. You need to breathe new air. Sometimes you just really need it to recharge. Taking a trip is definitely a sign that you are living your best life. It's a sign that you want a change and you are intentional about doing it. If money is a problem then plan ahead. Start looking for trips on one of the many cheap sites online and start saving up little by little. I believe it's important to get away from your regular life from time to time. It's a reminder that you can do and be a better you. It's the perfect time to revamp yourself. It's the perfect time to clear your mind and just worry about you. And it's also a great time to make new friends. So plan that trip and get away from the chaos of your everyday life.
I know these tips work because I am doing them. I live in my own truth. I meditate, workout, take trips, focus on a hair and skin regimen and have made some amazing new friends over the past few years. And because of that I am happier and living my best life.
